FAQs
How long does my hair need to be for body waxing?
For the best results, hair should be about ¼ inch long, or roughly the length of a grain of rice. This usually means allowing about 2–3 weeks of growth after shaving. If your hair is longer, don’t worry — there’s usually no need to trim before your appointment.
How long do body waxing results last?
Most clients enjoy smooth skin for several weeks after waxing. Hair growth varies from person to person, but staying consistent with your waxing schedule can help keep regrowth more manageable and get your hair growing on a more consistent cycle.
How often should I get waxed?
Most body and facial waxing appointments are recommended every 4–6 weeks, depending on the area and your individual hair growth. Staying consistent gives the hair enough time to regrow while helping you maintain smoother results between appointments. Your waxer can recommend a schedule that works best for you.
Can I shave between waxing appointments?
We recommend skipping the razor between waxing appointments whenever possible. Shaving cuts the hair at the surface and can interrupt the growth cycle we're trying to establish with consistent waxing. If you want the best long-term waxing results, let the hair grow and stick with your regular appointments.
Can I get facial waxing if I use retinol or tretinoin?
Retinoids and other strong skincare ingredients can make the skin more sensitive and increase the risk of irritation or skin lifting during waxing. Always tell your waxer about any prescription skincare, retinol, tretinoin, exfoliating acids or recent skin treatments before your appointment. When in doubt, contact us before booking so we can help determine whether waxing is appropriate for your skin.

What should I avoid after a body wax?
For the first 24 hours after waxing, give your skin a little time to recover. Avoid excessive heat, heavy sweating, hot tubs, saunas, swimming, intense exercise and anything that creates unnecessary friction on freshly waxed skin. After the initial post-wax period, consistent exfoliation and hydration can help keep skin smooth and reduce the likelihood of ingrown hairs.
