I’m Amber, cofounder and esthetician here at Neighborhood Wax. When I went to the School of Medical and Botanical Aesthetics in 2017, I swore up and down that I never wanted to wax anyone. It was scary, it was messy, and more than that, it was darn hard work! Imagine my surprise when I found myself specializing in (and obsessed with) the waxing industry a few months later.
In the words of Michael Scott, “well, well, well, how the turntables...”
The fulfillment I’ve found in making my guests feel confident, comfortable, and clean as a whistle is unmatched! The relationships I’ve built, the trust I’ve been granted, and the knowledge that my guests feel a little better walking out the door than they did walking in, is more rewarding than I could have ever imagined. I’m grateful for you lot every single day!

Hi Neighbors! I’m Sam, co-founder and esthetician behind Neighborhood Wax, and your new favorite waxer. Much like my gal Amber, I had never considered a career in waxing. It wasn’t until my first day of waxing class in school at SBMA, after I pulled a juicy strip of leg hair off a fellow classmate that I thought “oh that’s real fun!” and it was love at first wax.
Now, with years of experience, I’ve mastered the art of making waxing quick, effective, and dare I say… fun? My relationship with my clients is so important to me and I pride myself on creating a relaxed, judgment-free space where you can laugh, ask questions, and leave feeling incredible.
When I’m not perfecting brows or giving you the smoothest wax of your life, I’m probably hanging out with my hubby, cooking food, eating food or thinking about food, reading on my emotional support kindle and trying to get my one-eyed cat to love me as much as I love him.
