FAQ

  • Can I get waxed while I am on my period?

Absolutely you can! In order to be waxed during your cycle there must be a barrier between your cycle and your waxer, such as a tampon or menstrual cup, for sanitary reasons. We know it can be tough to predict your cycle and if you prefer not to be waxed during this sensitive time, try your best to plan accordingly.

  • Does waxing hurt?

The real question should be “Does waxing hurt as much as I think it does?” And to that we can emphatically say NO. While we can never promise that waxing will ever be pain free, we do our best to make the service as painless as possible. We are also trained and experienced speed waxers so no matter what, your wax will be quick. We also include a complimentary hot towel treatment prior to all brazilian/bikini waxing services, which helps minimize sensation during your wax. Plus it feels amazing and you will be wondering why you don’t put a hot towel on your vagina everyday.

  • What are the benefits of waxing?

There are so many benefits to waxing! Consistent waxing appointments lead to less hair regrowth and the hair that does grow back will become finer and more sparse overtime. Some hair follicles will completely detach from the blood supply, which means there are no nutrients fueling new hair growth. With each consecutive wax you will continue to notice progressive results.

  • How long does my hair have to be before I can get a wax?

In order to be waxed, hair should be grown out for 3 weeks, post shave. Hair that has previously been waxed might take longer to grow back and therefore 4-6 weeks in-between waxing appointments is standard.

  • I struggle with ingrown hairs, can you help?

Of course we can! During your appointment, your waxing specialist will cover proper waxing post care and can recommend some easy to use products that will help treat and most importantly prevent ingrown hairs.

  • Won't waxing cause my hair to grow back thicker?

Girl no. This is completely untrue and we wouldn’t be surprised if this myth was created by “Big Razor”, when in fact the opposite is true. Waxing removes hair from the follicle completely and in 4-6 weeks will be replaced by a finer, weaker hair. Overtime you can expect less hair re-growth overall.
